The Solo Cycle Clothing collection is comprised of high-end retro inspired cycle clothing. The centerpiece of the Solo range is the Classique jersey. Each jersey in the range is reminiscent of the iconic jerseys of the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's, inspired by the great riders of the day, the grand tours and the cycling culture of that golden era.
The Halcon cycling jersey is a vibrant design and reflects the exciting riding style of many Colombian cyclists, renowned for their prowess in the mountains. A red, gold and blue colour scheme hints at the national colours.

 A Great Departure From The Normal Billboard Styles, This review is from: Solo Cycle Clothing Halcon Classique Cycling Jersey (Apparel) This jersey got my attention because of its obvious nod to both Colombian cycling, and its place in history. Because of this, and the rather simple styling I thought I would enjoy it, and I do. It has most of the modern fabric and production methods and although it isnt the MOST technical piece it has an eye on the past great cycle jersey styles. So althogh its not a piece you wear on race-day it is surely suitable for the long weekend rides.In my opinion the sizing is on par with other companies (so you shouldn't have to size up or down), and the jersey has a nice woven collar and armbands. For those who find high collars to be annoying when fully zipped up, it's worth mentioning that the collar on this jersey is a bit lower and won't rub against your chin. The colors are bright, and the construction is very nicely done, with the interior of the fabric being soft and almost flocked. A piece worth every cent. I guess the idea is to pay tribute to the older styles but give them a new twist. Overall its a win.Some helpful info - I'm 5'11 and weigh in a about 180. I usually wear a large and Solo seem to be sized slightly snug, so if you wear a medium you might consider a large, etc. I was struck by the quality of construction, the knit collar and sleeves were a nice touch. The elastic band along the bottom hem helped keep it from rolling up on itself. And there is plenty of pockets to hold most anything. I also really liked the styling, if I'm going to wear a sport jersey I'd rather wear one that calls to the glory days of cycling versus the modern carbon-fiber age. Color me old fashioned, or savvy, whatever you wish. 5 stars for sure |
