The comfy flatlock seams are perfectly placed--they avoid the usual verticle seam that crosses the front of the groin area. Even when the knee is raised the seams do not dig into any sensitive places or tender parts. The waist is wide, comfortalbe and non-binding. This does result in slightly more moisture being held at the waistline but it dries quick enough. The chamois is surprisingly thin and non-bulky but effective and comfortable. The chamois itself does not hold moisture for long and I always feel comfortably dry. The silicone leg grippers are the usual but in these shorts there is an extra thin layer of soft fabric at the end of the legs, which is very comfortable and also make the shorts look better. There is a small pocket on one of the legs which will hold a key, a packet of Gu or a small bottle of pepper spray. The fit is great -- lower in the front so the fabric doesn't dig into your skin, plus the backside is a little higher. The padding is just right for long rides on the road. Plus, the legs stay put. There is also a side pocket that is nice to have (no zipper though) just perfect for ID, a few bucks, etc. I will definitely buy another pair to alternate. The legs don't ride up and the waist is very comfortable. I highly recommend these shorts. |
