We built this jacket around our highly waterproof and breathable 3-Layer Titanium WxB laminate stretch fabric that is soft, quiet and moves with you, unlike traditional hard shells. Then we loaded it up with core features that make this jacket adaptable to a wide range of conditions. P.R.O. Barrier WxB 3-Layer Titanium thermo-regulating laminate fabric with stretch knit face and nylon tricot laminated inside for moisture transfer and next-to-skin comfort. Waterproof fully taped internal seams. Welded waterproof zippers. Asymmetrical cuff s interface with gloves to create a tight weather seal.

I cycle recreationally, too, averaging 30 miles per ride a couple of days a week. All told, over 4,000 miles per year. So, using durable performance equipment is a priority. I've used Pearl Izumi cycle wear for many years and have come to rely upon the quality and design of their products. Not all have met expectations but on average PI products have performed well.The past 3 years have seen, in my personal opinion, an overall improvement in design and performance. The P.R.O. series, in particular, has been worth the relatively high price.
