I wouldn't have wanted them any tighter than this. As some of the other posters have previously mentioned, there are straps inside the short that let you reduce the waist size. If I went the XL then I feel the bike/lining shorts would have been too large.They look cool and feel comfortable when riding. The compression/lining shorts (no idea what they are called) can be detached from the shorts which allows them to be worn under any pants, etc. I found the pocket sizes to be OK as well. They pop open far too easily. There is a velcro supplement so it usually stays closed, especially if you wear a belt.The chart says XL is for 40-42. I have a 39" waist and these are tight - so I'm exchanging for XXL (!) It has an adjustable waist band (slightly) so I would get the larger and then cinch it down a level. |
