It is waterproof and looks like an old fashioned yellow rain jacket. It is extremely wind resistant. I can feel cold air more than wind. And by that I mean I can't feel wind at all, not matter how hard it's blowing. It is also breathable. Yes the pits have zippers but the tabs are tiny, a small gripe.Now to the negatives. I do get sweaty in the jacket. But maybe I overdress. I will say that few jackets are as breathable for this level of waterproofness. A major concern is the coloring. It is almost a #2 pencil color and has almost no reflective lining. The older models have just one thin line across the back. Newer ones have more along the frame of your body. Still, I'd rather they add strips along the arms front and back as well as more on the back. Overall it's a great rain jacket that is breathable and lightweight enough. You might get over heated in the summer but you'll be dry from the rain. |
