This base layer wicks sweat away and keeps me warm now that it is in the 40's in the morning in Southern California. I were this under my jersey and a thin jacket. I just too bad that I can't find it for the same price anymore. Waste of money? Think again. Now that I have had a season of skiing and in the beginning of cycling season, I found myself looking for a place to write a review for good. This layer is ultra thin and light. It can be easily worn beneath anything - for skiing I wore it beneath a long sleeve shirt + big thermal sweater + big ski jacket, for cycling, I wear it beneath a thick thermal jacket or a short sleeve jersey or long sleeve jersey whichever comes to your mind. In every way, it worked. It kept me warm and cozy. It was still light while I was sweating like a pig. The amazing thing about this is that when it's exposed directly to the wind, it lets the cool air in onto your skin and when it's covered by another layer, it keeps you warm and fresh even though it's still soaked in sweat.
