I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO REGULAR SHORTS AGAIN! These bibs have elastic across the back only and are smooth in the front, preventing that painful bind and pinch when you're leaned over riding. The clasp on the front chest is not good for a larger busted woman (like myself), so expect it to come undone during the ride, or you could just not clasp it to begin with. The drop tail back has a little extra material going down the back so while leaned over the bike riding you don't flash skin. While the bib style is what won me over, the leg openings were a close second. They are so comfortable it's not even funny. They're not too high and have little silicone-type grips painted on the inside to keep them in place. It didn't seem like many women wear them. I finally decided to try them when I saw these on sale. I'll never go back to cycling shorts! I just bought another pair of bibs. The bibs are more comfortable and hold me in in places that I didn't realize needed a little more support. I have a relatively flat belly, but the bibs are enough to not feel like any of me is spilling over. There's just enough overall support. The 3-D chamois is comfortable without being too bulky. The grippers on the leg are not overwhelming so they are comfortable and do keep the legs in place. The "drop tail", while it seems like it would address the reason bibs seemed impractical, isn't really that functional for me. I still feel like I would need to drop the whole bib, not just the tail to be comfortable on a "nature break", but in a pinch, it works better than nothing. I'm 5'5" and weigh about 130lbs.
