I've discovered however that if I'm riding socially with friends who aren't serious cyclists, it's nice to show up in casual clothing, and if the distance is going to be more than 10 miles or so, it's good to have pads.As a result, I've been using these shorts once or twice a week since I got them, and I've appreciated them every time.
